1. Confidentiality
All information shared during counselling, coaching, or consultation sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without the client’s written consent, except where required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, abuse, or court orders).
2. Scope of Services
Mindviate Consult provides psychological support, counselling, coaching, and consulting services for individuals, groups, and organizations. These services are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care. Clients requiring diagnosis or medical intervention will be referred to licensed medical professionals as appropriate.
In order to ensure that the therapeutic process can be maximized the Patient should not arrive under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs. If the Psychologist has any reason to believe that this may be the case, then the Psychologist will draw the session to a close/not commence a session and the fee paid will be forfeited.
Any material produced in the session (e.g., video/audio recordings, session notes, written homework, and psychoeducational material) is the Psychologist’s intellectual property and copyright.
The Patient under no circumstances is permitted to record (video, audio) the session (on the phone or any other device) unless the Psychologist has issued consent in writing.
3. Appointments and Cancellations
Clients are required to attend scheduled sessions on time. A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to a fee of up to 50–100% of the session cost, at the discretion of the consultant.
4. Fees and Payments
Fees for services are communicated in advance and are payable before each session. Payment methods accepted include bank transfer, mobile money, Cash. Invoices for corporate clients are due within 7 days unless otherwise agreed.
5. Minimum Commitment
Clients are required to commit to a minimum of four (4) sessions to allow for meaningful progress. This ensures continuity and effectiveness of the therapeutic or coaching process.
6. Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for providing accurate personal information and engaging honestly in the consultation or therapeutic process. Progress depends on consistent participation and personal commitment.
The Therapist/ Psychologist recognizes that the process of therapy may, for some, generate strong emotions. In rare circumstances where the Psychologist has a concern that such emotions have escalated to the point where they are not, in the Psychologist’s opinion, containable in the room, the Psychologist will draw the session to a close early.
The Client has the right to access the clinical notes. Beyond the clinical notes, any details held about the Patient are for the Psychologist’s own use and not shared.
The Client and the Psychologist will review sessions regularly depending on the Client’s demand or as the Psychologist finds this appropriate.
7. Limitations and Emergencies
Mindviate Consult does not offer emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, you are advised to contact emergency services or visit the nearest hospital in your area.
8. Termination of Services
The therapist or coach reserves the right to terminate services at any point if they determine that continued engagement is not in the client’s best interest or no longer beneficial. A referral will be offered where appropriate.
Either party may terminate services at any time. In the event of therapist unavailability, referral to a qualified professional will be provided when possible.
9. Use of Information for Training or Research
Client information may only be used for training, supervision, or research purposes with explicit written consent and under strict confidentiality safeguards.
By commencing therapy, the Patient consents to video/audio recordings being made of these sessions and to these recordings being used in clinical supervision to aid the work between the Psychologist and the Patient. The Patient has the right to refuse consent to video/audio recordings and must state this in writing before the commencement of therapy.

All services are delivered in accordance with the ethical standards of Counselors and Psychologist Board

By engaging in services at Mindviate Consult, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
